WORLDS END
SCHOOL OF

Worlds End School is a communally organized, intergenerational school in the Mohawk Valley of New York State, 30 miles west of Albany.

We practice world-building

We center the work of relationship and believe in the value of nuance and the necessity of beauty and celebration. As farmers, we see first hand the importance of diversity. As a school, we believe that everyone is both a student and a teacher.

Questions we repeatedly ask: How do we make our small corner of the world healthier, more fulfilling and more fun? How do we share what we know and inspire people to engage in world-building experiments that might provide alternatives to current systems which no longer serve our needs and desires? How do we learn to notice the immediate physical world around us, locate ourselves in it’s complex cycles, and practice tending to relationships with people, plants, animals and earth?

We are constantly interrogating the concept of economy...

We are dedicated to creating new systems of value; we want to be part of an emerging network of places that brings about revolutionary change. We believe that on the horizon of our evolution we can begin to resist the urges of accumulation and domination. We seek to form unexpected alliances across varying socioeconomic and political standings and collaborate across species to generate new ways of living and dying together in the spirit of reciprocity.
