ASTROLOGY RESIDENCY

April 10th - 14th, 2024

Learn to read your chart like an astrologer, through a 4 night intensive course with Mariana Balkar of Astrosipsa.

If you’ve been drawn to astrology but want a deeper understanding of it’s principles and a better grasp of how to read your own natal chart, this is a great opportunity to drop out for a couple of days and study with Mariana here by our woodstove at the farm. We’ll feed you, and give you our best hospitality while you explore the language of the cosmos and consider the archetypes and tools that are so beautifully rendered through natal chart and planetary transit work.

Learn to see your natal chart with all of the complexities, difficulties, gifts and blind spots it holds with patience and a lot of compassion. “What is your sign?” is of course a valid question, but where is your Moon or Venus or Mars can be much more informative, revealing a reservoir of insights. Prepare to discuss each planet, their properties and characteristics, learn about essential dignities and the main themes each planet governs and corresponds with.

Day 1

Arrival and introductions!

Day 2

A deep dive into each of the 7 traditional planets, 3 outer planets, and rulerships.
Learn about the complexities of each of the cardinal, fixed, and mutable signs.
Houses and house systems: Houses are crucial to understanding where the action in your life is happening, where planets are situated, which houses communicate with each other, and how this interaction transmutes different areas in our life.

Day 3

Aspects & Astrology as a relational practice: Understanding aspects in one’s chart is akin to learning how to speak in full sentences vs shouting out some random words. Aspects allow us to see a coherent picture, through them we understand the relational quality and a tone of a particular chart.
Synthesizing Planets, Signs and Houses: Practice reading the chart of a public figure.
Hands on delineation: work with a partner to practice reading each others charts.

Day 4

Individual lessons with Mariana to start integrating your chart interpretation skills further.

Day 5

Departure

Price includes meals, room & board in one of our rustic cabins or in the communal barn.

TRAVEL LOGISTICS

Worlds End Farm is located in Esperance, NY, 30 miles west of Albany. Transportation to and from the farm must be arranged for personally. We are a 45 min car ride from the Amtrak station or airport in Albany.
