Beekeeping Basics

Learn the fundamentals of the art and science of beekeeping and how to set up hives of your own. The workshop will cover the anatomy of a beehive and how bees produce honey, tools and equipment needed to get started, proper hive siting and maintenance, disease and pest identification and prevention, honey harvesting tips and techniques. A beekeeping jacket and gloves are required. 



This course is valued at $150. All courses are pay-what-you can afford; we suggest a range of $25-$250.
